AIDS Are In Big Cities
by on Feb.27, 2009, under Health
Studies show that AIDS are in big cities primarily. The Tehran Times goes on to say that “85 percent of all reported cases of HIV infection were in large U.S. metropolitan areas.”
If you want to know how bad it was in 2007 then you will be alarmed to know that 1,051,875 were known to be infected with the AIDS Virus. This is an alarming amount of people, and is very shocking. There has been a lot of money that the government has put forth to the fighting of Aids, but will it be enough?
According to studies, the Government funded $23.3 billion in 2008. This is money that could be used for other important things if AIDS was not such a huge problem and out of control. 50% of the money went to the actual care of AIDS patients including pay to Nurses and Certified Nursing Assistant Salary compensation for countless hours. This tells you how much not only health care, but drugs for patients are.
Care for not only how we treat our bodies, but other peoples bodies will govern how AIDS grows or diminishes, and because we live in such a selfish world this problem will only get worse.
Can Caffeine Kill Cancer
by on Feb.26, 2009, under Health
Reports have shown that coffee actually kills cancer. Well, not exactly that. But what it does do is helps kill off human cells damaged by ultraviolet light. Could this be something useful for those who have sensitive skin and the possibility of skin cancer?
The new findings could actually lead to development of creams which could include caffeine in a way that might be able to revers the effects of cancer cells on skin.
The findings came from testing on people who drink coffee, and here is what was found. The people who were regular drinkers of coffee or tea seemed to have lower incidences of nonmelanoma skin cancers. This is great news, and we can only wait and see what scientists are able to find with this information to use as medication for damaged skin.
Stay tuned for our next article whee we talk about some of the worst viruses that are effecting people today such as MRSA and other staph based infections.
Sonicare Toothbrushes Come Out On Top
by on Dec.12, 2008, under Anything
In our recent reviews of different toothbrushes the Sonicare electric series toothbrushes came out on top. We studied and reviewed many different brands and types of toothbrushes with these being our results. We found that electric toothbrush consistently outperformed manual toothbrushes.
We actually couldn’t find any manual brushes that compared. The only way to make up for this with the manual brushes was to brush for 50-100% longer. Within the electric toothbrush category we found that the top two brands were Oral-B and Sonicare with the Sonicare toothbrush brand coming out at the very top. Sonicare brushes were the most expensive but also consistently provided people with a cleaner mouth and a better brushing experience.
